I had the great pleasure of getting to know Maria on both a professional and personal level, and I can say that she was a person that had a great sense of humour and a joie de vivre which was infectious, who you could tell always conveyed a love and passion for both her work and family. I will always have very fond memories of her, and wish her family all the best in this difficult time.
