I first met Maria on the Southampton Law Course back in 1989. She made a huge impression then, in particular at our Pimms party, displaying a touch of Greek behaviour that involved plates ...!! We remained friends in the City over the next 28 years and had many happy times together. Her infectious laugh, mischievous smile and enormous zest for life and fun, made anyone in her company at ease. Trips to Ascot and many lunches followed. I will miss her very much and wish we had made more time for catching up - it is too late now, but memories will always be with me. My thoughts are with Maria's family at this very sad time. Ann x
